We consistently encourage our suppliers to use FSC-certified packaging and opt for plastic only if necessary, ensuring it’s recycled and kept to a minimum.

We are committed every day to finding the best materials to maximize comfort and durability, selecting from cotton, fine wools, plant-based fibers, organic yarns, and high-performance innovative materials. This allows us to produce a wide range of products: socks and booties for newborns, classic socks and technical sports socks, as well as preemie socks, non-slip socks, ballet socks and tights, some enhanced with handmade details.

Roncade Headquarters

At our headquarters in Roncade (Treviso), we manage the entire production chain, combining innovation with the manufacturing and artisanal tradition of our facilities located in Italy and China, all equipped with the latest textile technologies for sock production.

In Italy, our specialized staff handles the style and design, starting from a careful analysis of trends in patterns, colors, and yarns, and moving on to the development of prototypes up to the industrialization of the product.

China
Guangzhou Headquarters

Our partnership and facilities in Guangzhou, in southern China, represents a strategic international expansion that has allowed us to combine Italian artisanal craftsmanship with Eastern production efficiency.

This industrial choice was initiated to meet both the expectations of a more demanding market in terms of attention to detail as well as the commercial expectations of the retail channel.

In both production sites, Steum applies strict quality controls to ensure that every sock meets our rigorous quality standards.

About Steum’s History

Livio Bonaventura and his wife Bianca establish the hosiery business, producing handmade socks with local craft knitters.

The company takes the name Steum, from their children Stefania and Umberto. To improve the product offering, it begins using mechanical circular knitting machines.

The company introduces computerized knitting machines, expanding the range with new models.

Umberto takes the helm, expanding the client portfolio and commercial channels.

The business relocates to its current site in Roncade (TV).

Production is reorganized, and a collaboration with a new industrial partner in China begins.

Steum develops new logistics and distribution methods for international platforms in the Far East.

The company introduces innovative production technologies and new collaborations to support the sports channel.
